Modern Deathcore phenoms Within Destruction confront divinity with dominant new single "Vengeance // 直衝地獄”

The volatile cut features guest verses from Taiwanese rappers Asiaboy 禁藥王& Lizi 栗子

Closing out a productive cycle following the release of their 2022 full length Lotus, Slovenian deathcore collective Within Destruction delivered a haymaker in the 12-track onslaught. The strength of the release prompted a whirlwind of international touring and a recent domestic run supporting metalcore OGs, Atreyu.

Ushering in the next phase of the band's contemporary take on modern deathcore, Within Destruction tapped Taiwanese rappers Asiaboy 禁藥王& Lizi 栗子 for a high-powered, heavy-hitting single with the track, "Vengeance // 直衝地獄”.

Combining the band's thunderous cadence, menacing guitars and the vocal roar of frontman Rok, the addition of the Taiwanese tandem showcases fluid wordplay that asserts another layer of depth in an already stacked track.

Rok detailed how the creative exchange between the artists allowed the song to take shape, "When we first received a demo from Asiaboy & Lizi along with a rough translation of the lyrics, the section that stood out the most was 'I almost killed god'. That inspired the lyrics on our end to portray a more demonic, rebellious vibe in a subliminal context."

Along with the arrival of the first release of new music since Lotus, Within Destruction have shared a sleek new visual shot on location in Taiwan. Rok shared how the project came full circle. "The music video was recorded during our Asian tour. We had a show in Taiwan followed by a day off, which we took advantage of and recorded the video in one of the most notorious streets of Taipei. Obviously the whole collaboration, songwriting and actual music video shooting were all planned out months in advance, so once we arrived everything went smoothly and we were able to wrap up the whole scene in just one day. This was probably one of the must enjoyable and fun-to-do videos we’ve ever done."

The mammoth track precedes an incredibly fruitful year for the band with a slate of tour dates that include a Canadian stretch supporting Wage War along with Zero 9:36 and Avoid. Immediately following the trek, Within Destruction resumes their campaign stateside with a U.S. run supporting Dance Gavin Dance, SIM and Rain City Drive.
