Cradle of Filth and Devildriver commence second leg of the Double Trouble Live Co-Headliner

Earlier this year, the tandem of Cradle of Filth and Devildriver set out on the well-received co-headlining jaunt billed, Double Trouble Live. Performing to capacity rooms across the country, the tour's success was such that a second leg saw the union resuming their run on the road for a fall installment of the production.

For Cradle of Filth, 2023 saw the release of their first live album in more than two decades with the release of Trouble and Their Double LIves. The Napalm Records release captured live performances spanning from 2014 through 2019 from tours touching down in the USA, Europe, Australia and beyond during the band's Cryptoriana world tour

As for Devildriver, the band completed their Dealing With Demons double album, with the May release of the second installment. Building off of the narrative that anchored the late 2020 release of the first edition, Vol. II bolstered the heft signature to the band and offered a promising, punishing indicator of the live volatility to come.

Given such a banner year for both bands, the anticipation going into the second leg of the tour made for a memorable first night of the run. Led by the inimitable Dani Filth, Cradle executed extremity with expertise in a ten song set that lay waste to L.A.'s Belasco Theater. Going back-to-back with their most recent, "She Is A Fire" and their 1994 classic, "The Principle of Evil Made Flesh" - the band's three decade tenure was underscored.

Closing out their time with the essential "From the Cradle to Enslave" - the payoff proved worth it as fans were treated to set that touched on the new, while ensuring the timeless favorites were included for good measure.

As for Devildriver, opening with "Keep Away From Me" from Dealing with Demons Vol. 1 set the tone for what would be a 12-onslaught. Including ageless heaters like "Meet The Wretched" from their self-titled 2003 debut along with "Grinfucked" and "End of The Line" from the 2005's, The Fury of Our Maker's Hand - Dez and company made sure their day one fans in the build had plenty to be stoked about.

Punctuating their time with fitting ode to their home state, Devildriver concluded with a rendition of "Clouds Over California" that effectively landed as their 12th round knockout punch. The closer sent the room in to a frenzy and further proved Dez and Devildriver are still out for blood.
