The Diablo II: Resurrected reveal trailer showcases a 20-year history of gaming evil

The classic entry gets a refreshed look and feel with the incentive of cross-progression making for the ultimate user-friendly gaming experience.

Among the major announcements to result from the virtual iteration of Blizzcon 2021, include the news making the official remaster of the classic Diablo II a reality.

Diablo II: Resurrected got its very first reveal trailer and the result is a modernized repurposing of the enduring title that will please even the game's most purist of fans. Featuring improved gangly graphics and cinematic from Blur Studios and the integration of the "Lords of Destruction" expansion from the 2012 version of Diablo III, the major selling point of the latest reimagining of the game is the cross-progression.

Gamers will be able to take their progress with them across all gaming platforms, making for the ultimate, user-friendly experience. The game is set to be available across all PC, Playstation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch consoles.

The current talking points for the game ensure that fans get the experience they know and love, refreshed to look, feel, and play with all of the bells and whistles for the modern gamer. “Pursue the mysterious Dark Wanderer and fight the denizens of hell as you uncover the fate of the Prime Evils Diablo, Mephisto, and Baal, now in up to 4K (2160p) resolution on PC.”

There is currently no release date set for Diablo II: Resurrection, however all materials have 2021 listed as the tentative time frame. Watch the reveal trailer below.
