Josh Barnett headlines KSW bare-knuckle PPV event 'Genesis'

The Warmaster is set to square off against former KSW heavyweight champion, Marcin Rozalski.

Heavyweight mainstay Josh Barnett will make his return to the combat sports cage on October 23rd under the Polish-based KSW promotional banner.

The Warmaster is set to square off against former KSW titleholder, Marcin Rozalski. The fan-favorite earned the heavyweight strap with a 16-second KO victory over Fernando Rodrigues Jr. in May 2017.

Barnett finished out his UFC run with an impressive win over The Pitbull Andrei Arlovski in April 2018. Singing to Bellator MMA in 2019, the highly-anticipated matchup between Barnett and Ronny Markes never materialized.

The consummate competitor, Barnett opted to throw hands for the GENESIS event with KSW and face off against a hometown favorite. Its the kind of climate that best suits the man that has certainly earned his moniker as "The Warmaster."

"I'm not just excited to get back in the ring with this fight in Poland for Genesis, but to be back in something so stripped down, raw, and pure as a bare knuckle fight. Blood will flow and mettle will be tested in this celebration of damage, and I can't wait," said Barnett.

The event will be a three minute, three round bare-knuckle bout that will allow elbow strikes. The battle between the kickboxer in Rozalski and the battle-tested veteran in Barnett will ensure one hell of a scrap.

The fight broadcasts on October 23rd and is available via Pay-Per-View. With the trailer for the event below.
